Doc (Defender)

Doc is a heavy armor, light speed defensive operator included with original release go the game. Doc’s special gadget is his MPD-0 Stim Pistol. Stimulations Pistol is capable of healing teammates, who are downed, from a distance which allows Doc to stay safe and the downed operative. Doc is an essential part to any team as he is able to heal teammates and himself when they need it the most which can surprise the attacking team.

Montagne (Attacker)

Montagne or as players call him ‘Monty,’ is a heavy armored, light speed operator that was included in the original release of the game. Monty’s special gadget is his Le Roc extendable shield. His shield is able to be unextended to a smaller frame for better mobility for the player, but his shield is able to extend the the width of a doorway which is useful for blocking off enemy flanks and protecting teammates.

Twitch (Attacker)

Twitch is a medium armored, medium speed attacking operator who was released with the base game. Twitch’s special gadget is her Shock Drone which is a special drone that is able to shoot a taser. This taser is able to destroy enemy gadgets and cameras which are found around the map. Twitch’s ability allows her to put the attackers at an advantage by destroying enemy gadgets. Twitch is great for limiting the defender’s information and giving the attackers an edge.

Pulse (Defender)

Pulse is a light armored, high speed operator who was released with the base game. Pulse is equipped with his HB-5 Cardiac Sensor which detects enemy heartbeats through surfaces and obstacles. Pulse is great for flanking the attackers or making them think twice before entering a room. Pulse is a great operator to start out with as he is equipped with decent weapons and is an easy operator to become familiar with.

Castle (Defender)

Castle is a defending operator who is medium armored, medium speed operator who is equipped with his armor panels. Castle’s armor panels are an upgrade to the standard barricades. His panels are able to absorb eleven melee hits as compared to three. These panels are still destroyed by one explosive charge, but in a last second push, Castle’s armor panels can mean the difference between winning and losing.

Thermite (Attacker)

Thermite is an attacking operator who is medium armored, medium speed and is equipped with two Brimstone BC-3 exothermic charges. Thermite is an original operator released with the game. Thermite’s charges are able to breach reinforced surfaces unless they are electrified or jammed by defender gadgets. Thermite’s charges are useful for creating a new line of sight that wouldn’t be possible without him. Thermite is an essential tool to the attackers and their push towards the objective.

Ash (Attacker)

Ash is a light armored, high speed operator that was released with the game. Ash’s special gadget is her M120 CREM grenade launcher that shoots breaching rounds. She has a maximum of two breaching rounds that can be fired. Ash’s breaching rounds are able to blow open soft walls and soft barricades. Ash’s speed and her grenade launcher are great at pushing the objective and confusing the defenders.

Mute (Defender)

Mute is a medium armor, medium speed operator who was released with the base game of Rainbow Six Siege. Mute’s special gadget is his Signal Disruptor which jams enemy drones and attacker’s remote charge explosives within its range. Dokkaebi’s phone calls are affected by this if you are in the range of the jammer. If a defender is sitting on a jammer, their phone will not vibrate. Mute is great for hindering attackers communication and intel gathering to give the defenders advantage over the attackers.

Smoke (Defender)

Smoke is a medium armor, medium speed operator that was released with Rainbow Six Siege. Smoke’s deadly gadget is his remote Compound Z8 Remote Gas Grenades. Smoke’s gas grenades are thrown and triggered by the player and are able to injure or kill anyone that comes into contact with them. Smoke is great for shutting down rushes and blocking lines of sight.

Thatcher (Attacker)

Thatcher is a medium armor, medium speed attacking operator that was released with Rainbow Six Siege. Thatcher’s special ability is his MKO-EMP grenade. Thatcher’s EMP grenade disables any electronics in its area of effect. Thatcher’s EMP grenade is able to go through soft and reinforced walls. Thatcher is a great operator for teamwork and is helpful in making new lines of sight to catch the defenders by surprise.
